PPA Origination Manager
Solaria, a leading company in the development and generation of renewable energy in Southern Europe and listed on the Ibex 35, continues to expand its international footprint in strategic markets.
To strengthen our presence in Germany, we are seeking an Origination & PPA Manager with proven experience in structuring and closing Corporate PPAs with major industrial, technological, data centre, retail and other relevant corporate offtakers in the German market.
Role Mission:
The Origination & PPA Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing long‑term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with corporate clients in Germany, positioning Solaria as a leading energy partner in the country.
Main Responsibilities:
Identify and prioritise PPA opportunities with large corporate consumers in Germany (industrial, technology, data centres, retail, logistics, etc.).
Develop strategic relationships with clients, energy consultants, brokers, utilities and other key market stakeholders.
Lead the full origination cycle: prospecting, analysis, structuring, negotiation and closing of PPAs.
Analyse clients’ energy needs and propose tailored solutions (baseload, pay‑as‑produced, hybrid structures, financial structures, etc.).
Prepare commercial proposals and financial models for corporate PPAs.
Coordinate commercial, technical and financial due diligence processes.
Negotiate key contractual terms (tenor, pricing, indexation, guarantees, flexibility, risk allocation).
Ensure alignment with internal teams including Legal, Finance, Development and Energy Management.
Monitor trends in the German electricity market: pricing, regulation, corporate demand, competition and the evolution of the data centre sector.
Identify opportunities for expansion into new segments and regions within Germany.
Collaborate with Project Development, Engineering and Energy Management teams to ensure the technical and commercial viability of PPAs.
Provide regular reporting on pipeline, risks, opportunities and closing forecasts.
Requirements:
University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Solid experience (5+ years) in origination and closing of Corporate PPAs in Germany.
Active network of contacts with major corporate consumers, energy consultants and key market players.
Deep understanding of the German electricity market, regulation and pricing dynamics.
Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing high‑level commercial processes.
Native‑level German; high level of English essential.
Strong analytical skills, results orientation and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Experience in renewable energy, utilities or energy trading/commercialisation is highly valued.
